What is a Ripple Delete?

CMD + SHIFT + LEFT BRACKET…..done.

Just kidding. That is the keyboard shortcut to ripple delete in DaVinici Resolve though. A Ripple Delete is one of the most used tools in any editor. It simply allows you to find a point in your clip where you want make a cut and rather than using the blade tool and then have to select the excess clip and hit delete you can do all of that in one quick action. A ripple delete. Depending on if you want to ripple delete forward or backward it will cut to the point your playhead is at while also moving the rest of the timeline up so that a giant gap is left as would happen with a simple deletion of an unwanted clip.
