Apple Vision Pro Launches Feb 2nd
Today Apple has officially given a release date for the new Vision Pro headset. After initially being announced for Early 2024, audiences speculated when that exactly would be. In an Apple Newsroom article today we finally have our answer. Pre-Orders for the new headset will be Friday January 19th with the launch date set for February 2nd.
We also learned a couple new things about the Vision Pro today such as if you are in need of getting prescription optical inserts into the headset you can add Zeiss inserts for $99 or $149 depending if you need readers or prescriptions.
The Vision Pro also so far seems to only be offered in one storage capacity and price as of launch. For $3,499 you will get 256GB of storage. Many speculate this will not be enough for power users. Apple has always fallen short on customer expectations when it comes to base storage for devices (I.E the $6,000 2019 Mac Pro which also came with a 256GB SSD).
Finally Apple gave us a full list of what to expect for what will come in the box with the Vision Pro. Of course you’ll get the device itself along with 2 options of headbands, two light seal cushions, a cover for the Vision Pro, Polishing Cloth, Battery, USB-C charging cable and charging power adapter.
