MKBHD 2023 Blind Smartphone Camera Test
Every year Marques does a blind smartphone camera test to remove all brand bias from our minds. This allows us to choose the images we like best not because of the logo but because of the camera result.
So, what is Marques Brownlee’s Blind Smartphone Camera Test?
In previous years, this vote has taken place on Instagram stories where he would do dozens of polls. This year there is an entire webpage dedicated to this camera test!
You’ll go to vote.mkbhd.com and select between 3 categories: Standard, Low Light, and Portrait Mode. Each voting session could take up to 15 mins and by the end you’ll be shown your top 3 smartphone camera winners based on your selections.

According to his website during this vote, “20 smartphones have been randomized and assigned a letter. All of them take the same photo. You'll be shown a comparison side by side, and you pick the better photo until a statistically significant winner emerges. The smartphones behind each letter will be revealed in an upcoming video!” Last year the results came out in a video on December 27 2022.
